A couple of weekends ago I ventured up to Cornwall, CT with prop stylist Molly FitzSimons, food stylist Mariana Velasquez, and some of our friends. We made beautiful photographs, celebrated a few birthdays (3, 43, and 83!), and ate some delicious spring foods. Mariana created recipes for leg of lamb, grilled favas, spring vegetable soup with poached egg and bacon, and panna cotta with early strawberries just to name a few. I was in my element as I grew up nearby and can never get enough of the winding roads, cows, rivers, and verdant rolling hills. I’m so inspired by the landscape of my upbringing and the bounty that begins there in the spring. Maybe this will inspire some spring cooking for you this weekend…or if you’re in New York City with me, a trip to the country.
